Dear Stanford University School of Medicine Alumni,

As many of you know, a senior dean informed Dr. Elliott Wolfe via e-mail that his teaching contract would not be renewed because of "programmatic needs." For details including letters from students, alumni, and others, go to: http://www.drwolfeappreciation.org/letters.html.

He subsequently received a second letter wrongly accusing him of promoting "…efforts to protest, interfere with or disrupt medical school actions, programs or operations," and informing him that he would be terminated in 60 days instead of at the end of the academic year (60 days will be February 17, 2008).
